Fawn Mckay
Fawn McCay Brodie was was born at Ogden Utah September 15, 1915. Fawn MacKay, who was a member of the Mormon Church's original family, used her astonishing abilities as a writer and her formidable abilities to research in order to produce the psycho-historical biographies of Joseph Smith. The book The book, No Man has a clue about My History was published in 1945. The title came from a funeral sermon delivered by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844, when he shocked those he addressed with the words"You don't know me" I never told you about my heart. There is no one who has ever known about my past. My history is not known by anyone. It's a daunting job to find these records by separating the first-hand versions from third-hand copies and fitting Mormon accounts with those of non-Mormon people into a coherent collage. It is both interesting and instructive. Fawn Brodie's career was dedicated to this goal. Thaddeus Stewards was the outcome of her writing and research has made her a well-known author. Scourge of the Southern (1959) The Devil Drives. Thomas Jefferson. An intimate History (1974) and later posthumously Richard Nixon.
