Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a writer from Greece, a syndicated journalist as well as a businesswoman. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, TV personality as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for over ten years. She is also the owner of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. When she moved to England from Greece at 16, she received a MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. Being the first non-English-speaking student, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. After her graduation, she was an influential conservative syndicated journalist. A few more years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current politics. The fame of her name helped to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna gained fame after she decided in 2003 to run as an Independent candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of the Detroit-based initiative that advocated for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. She was named The Most influential women in media by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th place in the list. That same year Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her the president of their media company and also included several additional AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. The way she lived her life was determined by the closeness she had to her mother, and the bond she shared with her father, even though she was very close to her father. At a young age, she displayed the leadership abilities for which she's still known. When she was 16 she relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In college, she was a member of the Cambridge Union, a college debate club. Being the third woman president, and also the first foreigner she served as the head of Cambridge Union. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master's in Economics. Her professional career as an anchor and reporter was born after graduation.
