Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated writer of columns and businesswoman. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television personality and the owner of the independent liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and moved to England when she was 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. The first non-English student, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. A conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she was able to be an influential voice for the Huffington Post. The celebrity she enjoyed helped her to convince several celebrities to contribute their opinion about current affairs, culture and politics. Arianna gained notoriety after she was elected as an independent in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Her name was voted as the most influential women in media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, gaining the 12th spot on this list. That same year Guardian listed her among the 100 most influential media on their list. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in the year 2011. She was then made the head of the media division at AOL. It included a number of AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was an expert in management and a journalist. While she was close with her father, the relationship she had with her mother shaped the course of her entire life. She displayed leadership qualities from the beginning. When she was 16 she moved back to United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college in which she became the third female to hold the position of president. In 1972, she earned a Masters in Economics. Her career as TV host and journalist began after she graduated. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing her own novels with his aid.
