Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film role. Her fight to secure an appearance for Starship Troopers, a film that featured mostly minor roles, was very intense. It was difficult for her to transition to acting because models weren't considered an actor, so they generally were offered less roles. Amy didn't give up, and she eventually landed larger parts in the movies Varsity Blues and The 70s. Amy then moved into leading roles in 2005's romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy became famous for her work throughout the previous 10 years. Amy continued to appear in many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
